Twenty five years of design experience and a BFA in Surface Pattern Design from Syracuse University provide me with what it takes to be a successful design professional. New York City design experience with Wamsutta, Royalton Bibb & Covington Fabrics add to my design credentials.
I have worked with the CT real estate community for over nineteen years staging homes for resale. Professional training in Chicago with the foremost international Interior Redesign & Home Staging Organization, I.R.I.S. is where the decorating journey began for me. I received my certification for I.R.I.S. Interior Redesign Industry Specialist & C.I.S.S. Certified Interior Staging Specialist in March of 2000.
I have also been a regularly featured interior redesign consultant on the popular Home & Garden Television Show Decorating Cents. Shows were filmed in NYC, Boston & Philadelphia & aired from 2001 - 2009
2000 - 2013 - Double L Decor, LLC.
2014 - Current - Beach Street Designs, LLC.
Beach Street Designs was founded in 2014 after I lost my remarkable son, Kurtis Skelley to the horrible disease of depression. Kurt was twenty one years old, an avid athlete, a lover of the outdoors, a risk taker, a hiker, a biker, a climber, a skier, a kind heart and a wonderful son.
A portion of the proceeds from my art & pillow sales will be donated to the Kurtis R. Skelley Memorial Fund. My goal is to help raise awareness so that together we can nurture, educate & save young adults suffering with with mental illness.
